Mother (Kenhi Tep)

O compare not a mother’s great care,

So tender and loving, you dare;

No doubt, she would put your needs first

And let hers’ to suffer in thirst.

O compare not a mother’s great strength,

A strength that lasts till the end;

Though she’s weary, she carries a smile

With all those burdens more than a pile.

O compare not a mother’s great sacrifice,

The pain she endured was her choice;

To keep you, her time was used

To nurture you and this is something to be mused.

O compare not a mother’s great prayer,

So pure that there’s power;

To bring a change

And break you free from your cage.

O compare not a mother’s great love,

A love that will never move;

So unconditional that never gets low,

It is beyond what you’ll ever know.

For a mother is a blessing,

So beautiful that’s worth reminiscing;

Honour and value her presence

For time is in no men’s hands.
